Doxology In the Year of the Pandemic
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him all creatures here below
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
Today is May 19, 2020; think about 40 years or so from now, maybe our grandchildren will be studying world history and working on an assignment and answering the question, “How to you think the world was changed by the 2020 Pandemic?” In the future will we look back and remember 2020 as the year of the COVID-19 Pandemic? It’s not clear just how significant the events of the year will be and how deep the memories will be engraved in our mind. Executive orders are yet to come, businesses are to reopen or close, the infection is still spreading, treatments have been found, vaccine development is in process. The times are uncertain and clouds, rain, and cold winds may be casting gray tones on our expectations of a bright future. But let us look to our God for hope and peace in these uncertain times.
Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow! Praise God when the sun is shining bright, praise God when the darkness closes in from all around!
24 “The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26 New King James Version
